Amanda, Registered Dental Assistant

Amanda, Registered Dental Assistant

Amanda was introduced to Dental Assisting and Radiology while she attended courses offered by the Maryland State Dental Association.  She fell in love with dentistry and started her career in this industry with Brinster Dental.  Some of her daily tasks include providing chair-side support to Dr. Brinster and the hygienists.  She preps the examination rooms before each appointment, sterilizes all the instruments, prepares teeth molds, takes dental x-rays, and manages the patients’ dental records.  When asked what she loves about her job, Amanda says, “I enjoy the feeling of completing procedures on every patient, knowing that I’m improving their health.  I love educating my patients on how and why we keep their teeth healthy and strong.”

When she’s not in the office, she loves spending time with her son, as well as boating and fishing with her family.

Tracey, Front Office Coordinator

Tracey graduated from South River High School in 2005 and has been in the dental industry for over 8 years. She wears many hats at the office from greeting patients that arrive at the office and answering calls to scheduling appointments and helping patients get the most out of their insurance plans. Tracey loves the long-lasting relationships that she is able to create with each and every patient. She truly feels like every patient is a family member and treats them as such. In her spare time, Tracey likes spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.

Joanna, Treatment Coordinator

Joanna, Treatment Coordinator

Joanna received her undergraduate degree in Communications from Loyola University in Maryland. She then earned her certification in Radiology and Expanded Functions at the Maryland State Dental Association. Joanna’s career in dentistry started while she was still in high school, and she hasn’t looked back since. Many times Joanna has the first point of contact with the patients over the phone or upon their arrival at the practice.  Her responsibilities include scheduling, greeting visitors, and taking care of the very important administrative duties that keep the practice running smoothly and on time. Joanna is a “people-person” and loves interacting with all the patients.  She takes extra time to ensure that the patients are comforting and feel welcomed to Brinster Dental. She strives to make all the patients truly feel like they’re a part of the Brinster Dental family.

When she’s not busy at the office, she enjoys staying active and coaching lacrosse to the community’s youth.
